5. Click Update to install the latest version of the software. Or click Restore to restore iPhone 3G to its original settings and erase all data on iPhone. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process.

Resetting iPhone Settings


Reset all settings
Choose General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

• All your preferences and settings are reset. Information, such as your contacts and calendars, and media, such as your songs and videos, are not deleted.

Erase all content and settings
Choose General > Reset and tap “Erase All Content and Settings.”

• All your information and media are deleted. You must sync iPhone with your computer to restore contacts, songs, videos, and other information and media.

Reset the keyboard dictionary
Choose General > Reset and tap Reset Keyboard Dictionary.

• You add words to the keyboard dictionary by rejecting words iPhone suggests as you type. Tap a word to reject the correction and add the word to the keyboard dictionary. Resetting the keyboard dictionary erases all words you’ve added.

Reset Network Settings
Choose General > Reset and tap Reset Network Settings.

Apple iPhone DFU mode ( Deep Firmware Upgrade)

1. Turn off iPhone.
2. Connect to mac/pc with sync cable / iTunes.
3. Press and hold HOME and POWER buttons for 10sec.
4. Release only POWER button, but continue pressing HOME button for 10 sec.

Now iTunes should detect iPhone in recovery mode.

Micromax A116 Canvas HD Hard Reset

 

 Now after talking complete backup just Switch of you MMX A116 . Now press power button (hold it) and also simultaneously press the Volume + and volume – button, keep pressing the 3 button until you two options . Then Enter in recovery Mode by pressing the Volume up button . There will be three android logo displayed. it wont change until you press any button hence press the power button once to proceed further . Now you will see a Menu Option, now select it using the volume up and down button and press the power button to select it . The enter button is bit difficult As we have seen in pother android phone that there is only one button but on Canvas HD it has Two. the power button will not work as enter button on A116 . For enter button you need to press the left (context menu) and the right (back) touch sensitive buttons simultaneously and hold for a sec. . Now select Wipe Data/Factory reset and press the enter button as mentioned in above steps. after that you will see some more option press the volume up and down button to navigate through it and press the Enter Button again to confirm it. . This will initiate the factory reset process and now choose Reboot now option using Volume Buttons and press the enter button to select it. . Your Micromax A116 Canvas HD Will Reboot and you will see the phone same as you opened the box pack.
