For Windows 8 - Solution
- Delete the contents of the Temp folder, do the following:
- Press the Windows + E keys on your keyboard to open the File Explorer.
- Double-click Local Disk (C:) > Windows > Temp.
- Delete all the files inside Temp folder.
- Delete tmtdi.sys, do the following:
- Press the Windows + E keys on your keyboard to open the File Explorer.
- Double-click Local Disk (C:) > Windows > System32 > drivers.
- Delete tmtdi.sys file.
- Run the Permission Tool.
- Download and save the Permission Tool on your desktop.
- Extract the file. Type "novirus" when you are prompted for a password.
- Double-click PermissionTool.exe to run it.
- Delete the Trend Micro folder in the following locations:
- C:\Program Files folder
- C:\ProgramData folder
- Delete the Trend Micro registry entries. Do the following:
Important: Editing your computer's registry can cause serious errors on your computer. Always create a backup before making any changes. If you need assistance, you can view the Help file by clicking Help > Help Topics on the Registry Editor window. You can also contact Trend Micro Technical Support.
- Press Windows + R keys on your keyboard to open the Run window.
- On the Open field, type "regedit" then press Enter. The Registry Editor window will open.
- Delete the TrendMicro registry entries in the following locations:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
- Reinstall your Titanium program. For instructions, click on your program below:
