Method#1

Disabling from Windows Update Center:

1:Go to Start Menu AND CLICK ON Control Panel and switch to large icon view
2:Now at the end of the list click on “Windows Update” Windows Update panel will pop up.
3:Go to change setting
4:Now under “Important Updates” section click on the dropdown menu and select the “Never Check for Updates” option.
5:Apply all changes [Just press OK] and you are done

Method#2
Disabling from the Administrative Tools:
1:Go to Control Panel before and switch to Icon View as before.
2:From the Administrative Tools double click on “Services”.
3:Now scroll down to the list and find and select “Windows Update”.
4:Then click properties of windows upadat
5:Then click DISABLE in start up type
6:Then click STOP in service status
7:Hit OK and save everything
